Durante 10 años he estado inmersa en un tipo de periodismo especializado: el enfocado en divulgar la ciencia. Esta labor la he desempeñado antes de vivir en Bolivia.
En toda esa década fui la coordinadora del proyecto Aragón Investiga, perteneciente al Departamento de Innovación y Nuevas Tecnologías del Gobierno de Aragón, con la financiación de la Obra Social de la CAI. Este portal es referente en divulgación de ciencia en España y prosigue, con la misión de transmitir la Pasión Científica.
¿Qué es la pasión científica?
La investigación y la pasión pueden ser sinónimas, cuando se alían y se convierten en verdadero motor o vocación que impulsa a las personas a la carrera científica. La inquietud, la curiosidad por conocer más allá y poder emplear ese conocimiento al servicio de la sociedad están detrás de ese trabajo.
Así, un físico cuántico estudiará lo más profundo de la materia, en un verdadero desafío por llegar a las partículas más pequeñas, una carrera interminable porque se va encontrando con nuevas líneas de la Naturaleza. Toda esa información cuántica le permitirá utilizar nuevas leyes de la Física para procesar información y lograr que nuestra comunicación sea un día eficiente, segura y rápida.
Un psicólogo que investigue trastornos como el Síndrome de Asperger o el Autismo, causantes de una clara merma en las capacidades de interacción social, buscará una mayor infraestructura de apoyo para este colectivo.
Un bioquímico, dedicado al estudio de las proteínas, podrá desarrollar fármacos si ese estudio se realiza con técnicas experimentales y computacionales. Al igual que un neurólogo, que logrará diagnosticar enfermedades tan graves como el Alzheimer a partir del análisis de los metabolitos del cerebro o sustancias químicas que permiten su funcionamiento.
